Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: Letter of Abu ‘Abd Allah 'Alayhim al-Salam to the Shi’ah عَنْهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠) إِلَى الشِّيعَةِ لَيَعْطِفَنَّ ذَوُو السِّنِّ ٠ْ وَ النُّهَى عَلَى ذَوِي الْجَهْلِ وَ طُلَّابِ الرِّئَاسَةِ أَوْ لَتُصِيبَنَّكُ٠ْ لَعْنَتِي أَجْ٠152.

From him, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Al-A’la Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said: Abu Abdullah wrote to the Shiites: ‘Let those who are elderly from among you be sympathetic, and prohibit the ignorant ones and the seekers of leadership, or else you will all be affected by my (asws) curse’. يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/19))
