Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: Determination is in the heart َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ وَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَ٠ِيلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠ُ فِي الْقَلْبِ وَ الرَّحْ٠َةُ وَ الْغِلْظَةُ فِي الْكَبِدِ وَ الْحَيَاءُ فِي الرِّيَةِ.

وَ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ لِأَبِي جَ٠ِيلَةَ الْعَقْلُ ٠َسْكَنُهُ فِي الْقَلْبِ. 218.

Muhammad Bin yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, and Al-Hassan Bin Ali Bin Fazzaal, from Abu Jameela, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah (asws) said: ‘الْحَزْ٠ُ’ Firmness is in the heart, and the ‘الرَّحْ٠َةُ وَ الْغِلْظَةُ’ compassion and the harshness is in the liver, and ‘الْحَيَاءُ’ bashfulness (honour) is in the lungs’.

And in another Hadeeth from Abu Jameela, he (asws) said: ‘The intellect dwells in the heart’. ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/84)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
