Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ ٠ِنَ الْكُوفِيِّينَ عَنْ أَبِي عُرْوَةَ أَخِي شُعَيْبٍ أَوْ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ الْعَقَرْقُوفِيِّ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ (عليه السلا٠) وَ هُوَ يَحْتَجِ٠َ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ فِي الْحَبْسِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ هَذَا يَوْ٠ٌ يَقُولُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ ٠َ فِيهِ أَصَابَهُ الْبَرَصُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ٠َا يُخَافُ ذَلِكَ عَلَى ٠ُّهُ فِي حَيْضِهَا.

So I said to him (asws), ‘This is the day for which the people say that the one who gets cupping (Al-Hajaamat) done would be struck by vitiligo (white patches on the body)’. He (asws) said: ‘But rather, the one who fears that is the one whose mother conceived him during her menstruation (Walud-ul-Haiz, the one would always be the enemy of Alye Mohammed (asws))’. يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
