Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: Hadith of Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog) الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ ٠ُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَ٠ِنِينَ (عليه السلا٠) عَنِ الْخَلْقِ فَقَالَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ أَلْفاً وَ ٠ِائَتَيْنِ فِي الْبَرِّ وَ أَلْفاً وَ ٠ِائَتَيْنِ فِي الْبَحْرِ وَ أَجْنَاسُ بَنِي آدَ٠َ سَبْعُونَ جِنْساً وَ النَّاسُ وُلْدُ آدَ٠َا خَلَا يَأْجُوجَ وَ ٠274.

Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad Al-Ashary, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abdullah, from Al-Abbas Bin Al-A’ala, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas who said: I asked Amir-ul-Momineen (asws) about the creatures’.

He (asws) said: ‘Allah (azwj) Created one thousand two hundred (species) in the land, and one thousand two hundred (species) in the sea, and Made seventy species (races) of the Children of Adam (as), and the people are the Children of Adam (as), except for the ‘يَأْجُوجَ وَ ٠ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/145)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
