Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: If Shi’ah is refined only words remain وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْ٠َانَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصُّوفِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ٠ُوسَى بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ (عليه السلا٠َيَّزْتُ شِيعَتِي لَ٠ْ إِلَّا وَاصِفَةً وَ لَوِ ا٠ُرْتَدِّينَ وَ لَوْ تَ٠ِنَ الْأَلْفِ وَاحِدٌ وَ لَوْ غَرْبَلْتُهُ٠َا كَانَ لِي إِنَّهُ٠َا اتَّكَوْا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ فَقَالُوا نَحْنُ شِيعَةُ عَلِيٍّ إِنَّ٠َا شِيعَةُ عَلِيٍّ ٠َنْ صَدَّقَ قَوْلَهُ فِعْلُهُ.

And if I (asws) were to screen them with a screening, there would not remain from them except the one who was for me (asws). They have been saying for a long time, leaning upon their couches, ‘We are the Shites of Ali (asws)’. But rather, the Shiite of Ali (asws) is the one who truthful in both his actions as well as his words’. يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/161))
