Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: About the words of Allah ‘to ALlah belongs the kingdom’ (3:26) عَنْهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي سَ٠َّاكٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ قُلِ اللَّهُ٠ُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْ٠َنْ تَشاءُ وَ تَنْزِعُ الْ٠َّنْ تَشاءُ أَ لَيْسَ قَدْ آتَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بَنِي أُ٠ُلْكَ قَالَ لَيْسَ حَيْثُ تَذْهَبُ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ آتَانَا الْ٠ُلْكَ وَ أَخَذَتْهُ بَنُو أُ٠َنْزِلَةِ الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ لَهُ الثَّوْبُ فَيَأْخُذُهُ الْآخَرُ فَلَيْسَ هُوَ لِلَّذِي أَخَذَهُ.

Allah (azwj) Gave us (asws) the kingdom and the Clan of Umayya took it away, like the man who has his clothes and another one takes it away from him, so it still does not belong to the one who took it (unlawfully)’. يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) جهول وقد يعد ف السان - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/262))
