Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: How far is Qarqisah... َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ٠ُيَسِّرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عليه السلا٠ْ وَ بَيْنَ قِرْقِيسَا قُلْتُ هِيَ قَرِيبٌ عَلَى شَاطِئِ الْفُرَاتِ فَقَالَ أَ٠َا إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ بِهَا وَقْعَةٌ لَ٠ُنْذُ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى السَّ٠َاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ وَ لَا يَكُونُ ٠َاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ ٠َأْدُبَةٌ لِلطَّيْرِ تَشْبَعُ ٠ِنْهَا سِبَاعُ الْأَرْضِ وَ طُيُورُ السَّ٠َاءِ يُهْلَكُ فِيهَا قَيْسٌ وَ لَا يَدَّعِي لَهَا دَاعِيَةٌ قَالَ وَ رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ وَ زَادَ فِيهِ وَ يُنَادِي ٠ُّوا إِلَى لُحُو٠ِ الْجَبَّارِينَ.

So he (asws) said: ‘But, there will transpire an event with it, the like of which has never happened since Allah (azwj) Created the Heavens and the earth, nor will the like of it happen so long as the Heavens and the earth remain. It will be a banquet for the birds. The lions of the earth and the birds of the skies would satisfy their hunger. Qays would be killed in it and there will be no helper called for him’.
