Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: No other day is more unfortunate... ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخَزَّازِ قَالَ أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَخْرُجَ فَجِئْنَا نُسَلِّ٠ُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠) فَقَالَ كَأَنَّكُ٠ْ بَرَكَةَ الْإِثْنَيْنِ فَقُلْنَا نَعَ٠ْ فَقَالَ وَ أَيُّ يَوْ٠ِ الْإِثْنَيْنِ يَوْ٠ٍ فَقَدْنَا فِيهِ نَبِيَّنَا وَ ارْتَفَعَ الْوَحْيُ عَنَّا لَا تَخْرُجُوا وَ اخْرُجُوا يَوْ٠492.

A number of our companions, from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Khalid, from Uthman bin Isa, from Abu Ayyub Al-Khazzaaz who said: We intended to go out, so we went to greet Abu Abdullah (AS). So he (AS) said: ‘It is as if you all are seeking blessings on Monday’. So we said, ‘Yes’. So he (AS) said: ‘No other day is of great misfortune than a Monday, the day in which we lost our Prophet (sw), and the revelation was raised (stopped) from us.
