Al-Khiṣāl - Part 5: On Five-Numbered Characteristics Chapter: Five People Should Not Be Given Alms د بن الحسن رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا ٠د بن يحيى العطار عن ٠د، عن أبي إسحاق إبراهي٠، عن أبي طالب عبد الله بن الصلت الق٠ن أصحابنا يرفعونه إلى أبي عبد الله عليه السلا٠ن الزكاة: الولد، والوالدان، وال٠لوك لانه يجبر [الرجل] على النفقة عليه٠5-46 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar quoted Muhammad ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Abi Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Hashim, on the authority of Abi Talib Abdullah ibn al-Salt al-Qumi, on the authority of some companions who linked it up to Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB), “Five people should not be given alms as follows: one’s offspring; one’s parents; one’s wife and one’s servant, since one must pay for their expenses anyways.”
