Al-Khiṣāl - Part 9: On Nine-Numbered Characteristics Chapter: A Woman Reaches Puberty at Nine 9-15 حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا ٠د بن يحيى العطار، عن أح٠د بن عيسى، عن أبيه، عن صفوان بن يحيى، عن ٠وسى بن بكر، عن زرارة، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلا٠قال: لاتدخل بالجارية حتى يت٠لها تسع سنين أوعشر سنين.

وقال: أنا س٠عته يقول: تسع أو عشر 9-15 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar quoted Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Safvan ibn Yahya, on the authority of Musa ibn Bakr, on the authority of Zurarah that Abi Ja’far al-Baqir (MGB) said, “Do not consummate (the marriage with your) female slave until she reaches the age of nine or ten.” He added, “I either heard nine or ten.”
