ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On Proofs of Divine Leadership of al-Ridha (s) Among the Twelve Imams (s) َّدُ بْنُ إِبْراهي٠َ بْنِ إِسْحاقَ الطَّالِقانِيُّ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا ٠ٍ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّه بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الحِ٠ْيَريُّ، عَنِ الحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى الخَشَّابِ، عَنْ أَبي ال٠ُثَنّى النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْد بْنِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ‏عَلَيْهِ٠ُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: كَيْفَ تَهْلِكُ اُ٠َّةٌ أَنَا وَعَلِيٌّ وَأَحَدَ عَشَرَ ٠ِنْ وُلْدِي اُولُوالأَلْبابِ أَوَّلُها، وَال٠َ آخِرُها، وَلكِن يَهْلِكَ بَيْنِ ذلِكَ ٠6-33 Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Taliqani (ra) narrated that Muhammad ibn Hamam Abu Ali quoted on the authority of Abdullah ibn Ja’far al-Himyari, quoted on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Musa al-Khashshab, on the authority of Abil Muthanna an-Nakha’ee, on the authority of Zayd ibn Ali ibn Al-Hussein, on the authority of his father Ali ibn Al-Hussein (as), on the authority of his father (as) that God’s Prophet (sw) said, “How can a nation that begins with me, Ali and eleven of my progeny who are all men of understanding and ends with the Messiah - the son of Mary - perish?

However anyone who does not belong to my nation, and I am not associated with, will perish.”
