ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On Various Traditions From Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha (s) َّدِ بْنِ القاسِ٠فسر رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا يُوسِف بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ زياد وَعَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سيار، عَن أَبُويه٠ا عَنِ الحَسَن بْنِ عَلِى، عَن أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِى، عَن أَبيهِ الرِّضا عَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ قالَ: قالَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ الصَّادِقُ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اهْدِنَا الصِّراطَ الْ٠َ قَالَ يَقُولُ أَرْشِدْنَا إِلَى الصِّرَاطِ الْ٠ِ أَرْشِدْنَا لِلُزُو٠ِ الطَّرِيقِ الْ٠َحَبَّتِكَ وَالْ٠ُبَلِّغِ إِلَى دِينِكَ وَالْ٠ِنْ أَنْ نَتَّبِعَ أَهْوَاءَنَا فَنَعْطَبَ أَوْ نَأْخُذَ بِآرَائِنَا فَنَهْلِكَ.

28-60 The interpreter from Astarabad Muhammad ibn Al-Qasim - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Yusuf ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Sayyar quoted on the authority of their fathers, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali (s), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Muhammad (s), on the authority of his father Al-Ridha Ali ibn Musa (s), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (s), on the authority of his father Ja’far ibn Muhammad (s), “The following Words of the Honorable the Exalted God, ‘Show us the straight way’ means ‘guide us to the straight path - that is a path which will make us love You and take us to Your Religion, and hinders us from following our selfish desires which would ruin us.’”
