ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Various Traditions From al-Ridha (s) 6 - وَبِهذَا الإسناد عَنِ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ قالَ: قالَ الصَّادِق‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َّنْ كَثُرَ ضَحِكُهُ لاعِباً يَكْثُرُ يَوْ٠َةِ بُكَاؤُهُ وَكَ٠َّنْ كَثُرَ بُكَاؤُهُ عَلَى ذَنْبِهِ خَائِفاً يَكْثُرُ يَوْ٠َةِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سُرُورُهُ وَضَحِكُهُ.

30-6 According to the same documentation, it has been narrated on the authority of Al-Ridha (s), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (s) that As-Sadiq (s) said, “There are many who laugh having fun, but will cry a lot on the Resurrection Day. There are many who cry due to fear for the sins they have committed, and will be laughing a lot on the Resurrection Day and in Paradise.”
