ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 169 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد، عَن جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّد عَلَيْهِالسَّلا٠ُ، عَن أَبِيهِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ قالَ: سُئِلَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن‏عَلَيْهِ٠َ النَّبِي‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ ٠ِن أَبَوَيهِ؟ قالَ: لِئَلاَّ يَجِبَ عَلَيْهِ حَقٌّ لَِ٠31-169 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) quoted on the authority of his father (a.s.) that Ali ibn Al-Husayn was questioned about why the Prophet (S) was an orphan deprived of both father and mother.
