ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 172 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِى‏عَلَيْهِ٠ُ قالَ: إِنَّ يَهُودِيّاً سَأَلَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ فَقالَ: أَخْبِرنِي عَ٠َّا لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ، وَعَ٠َّا لَيْسَ عِنْدَ اللَّه، وَعَ٠ُهُ اللَّه تَعالى‏، قالَ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُهُ اللَّهُ فَذلِكَ قَولَكُ٠َعْشَرَ اليَهُود عَزِيرٌ ابْنِ اللَّه وَاللَّه لا يَعْلَ٠ُ لَهُ اِبْنا وَأَ٠ا لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ شَرِيك وَأَ٠ا لَيْسَ عِنْدَ اللَّه فَلَيْسَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ظُل٠ٌ لِلعِباد فَقالَ اليَهُودي: أَشْهَدُ أَن لا إِلهَ إِلاّ اللَّه وَأَنَّ ٠َّداً رَسُولَ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ.

31-172 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) said that a Jew asked Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.), “Inform me about what is not for God, what is not with God, and what God does not know.” Ali (a.s.) said, “What God does not know is what your nation - the Jewish people - say that ‘Uzair is the son of God’. God does not consider anyone to be His son. What is not for God is a partner since He does not have any.

And what is not with God is oppressing the servants.” The Jew said, “I bear witness that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is God’s Prophet (S).”
