ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 174 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب‏ عَلَيْهِالسَّلا٠ُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: إِنّي سُ٠ِّيَتْ ابنَتي فاطِ٠َة لانَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَطَ٠31-174 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) quoted on the authority of God’s Prophet (S), “I named my daughter (the Blessed Lady) Fatima because the Honorable the Exalted God ablactated her from the Fire.
