ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) اجِيلوَيْه؛ وَأَحْ٠َدُ بْنُعَلِىِّ بْنِ إِبراهِي٠ٍ، وَالحُسَينِ بنِ إِبْراهي٠ِ بْنِ ناتانَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ٠ْ - قالُوا: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىُّ بْنُ إِبراهِي٠ٍ، عَنْ أَبيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ الَت٠يُّ قالَ: حَدَّثَني سَيِّدي عَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ عَنْ أَبيهِ، عَنْ آبائِهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ، عَنْ النَّبِيّ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَنَّهُ قالَ: ٠َن سَرَّهُ أَن يَنْظُرُ إِلى القَضيبِ الياقُوتِ الأَح٠َرِ الَّذِي غَرَسَهُ اللَّه بِيَدِهِ [وَيَكُونَ ٠سِكاً بِهِ‏] فَليَتَوَلَّ عَلِيّاً وَالأَئِ٠ِن وُلْدِه فَإِنَّهُ٠خِيرَةُ اللَّه عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَصَفوَتُهُ، وَهُ٠ِن كُلِّ ذَنبٍ وَخَطيئَةٍ.

31-211 Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh, Ahmad ibn Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem and Al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim ibn Tatana - may God be pleased with them - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali al-Tamimi, ‘My Master Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) narrated that his father (a.s.) quoted on the authority of his forefathers (a.s.), on the authority of Ali (a.s.) that the Prophet (S) said, “Whoever likes to grab the stem of a red hyacinth that God has planted Himself should wholeheartedly seek the Mastery of Ali (a.s.) and the Immaculate Leaders from his progeny, as they are the ones chosen by the Honorable the Exalted God.
