ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 256 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ قالَ: قالَالنَّبِي‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ فِي قَوْلَهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: (وَتَعِيَها أُذُنٌ واعِيَةٌ) قالَ: دَعَوْتُ اللَّه أَن يَجعَلَها أُذُنَكَ يا عَلِيُّ.

31-256 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali (a.s.), “Regarding the Honorable the Exalted God’s words in the following verse, ‘…(that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance,’ God’s Prophet said, ‘I asked God to establish that to be your ears.’”
