ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) َدِ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ يُوسِفالبَغدْادي قالَ: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠َّد قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُوالقاسِ٠َّدِ بْنِ العَبَّاسِ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر العَلَوِي وَدارِ٠بْنِ قبيصة النهشلي قالا: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِعْتُ أَبي يَحْدُثَ عَنْ أَبيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِى عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َّدِ بْنِ الحنفية عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ يَقُولُ: تَختُ٠ُوا بِالعَقيقِ فَإِنَّهُ أَوَّل جبل أقر لِلَّهِ تَعالى‏ بِالوَحدانيَّة وَلي‏ بِالنُّبُوَّة لَكَ يا عَلِيِّ بِالْوَصِيَّة وَلِشيعَتِك بِالْجَنَّةِ.

31-326 Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Al-Husayn ibn Yusuf al-Baghdadi narrated that Ali ibn Muhammad quoted on the authority of Abul Qasim Muhammad ibn Al-Abbas ibn Musa ibn Ja’far al-Alawi and Darim ibn Qabeesa an-Nahshali that Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) narrated that he had heard his father (a.s.) quote on the authority of his father (a.s.), on the authority of his grandfather Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), on the authority of his father (a.s.) and Muhammad ibn al-Hanifiyya, on the authority of the Commander of the Faithful Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) that he had heard God’s Prophet (S) say, “Wear agate rings as they come from the first mountain which confessed to the Unity of the Sublime God, the Prophethood of My Prophet, and the Trusteeship of you, O Ali!
