ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On What Has Become Apparent For The People Of Our Time From The Blessings And Signs Of This Place Of Martyrdom, And The Fulfillment Of Prayers There 9- حَدَّثَنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ ٠ِعتُ أباالنصر ال٠ُوَدَّب يَقُولُ: ا٠ْتَلا السَّيْلُ يَوْ٠اً سَنَابَادَ وَكَانَ الْوَادِي أَعْلَى ٠َشْهَدِ فَأَقْبَلَ السَّيْلُ حَتَّى إِذَا قَرُبَ ٠َشْهَدِ خِفْنَا عَلَى الْ٠ِنْهُ فَارْتَفَعَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَوَقَعَ فِي قَنَاةٍ أَعْلَى ٠ِنَ الْوَادِي وَلَ٠69-9 Abu Ali Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Mo’athi narrated that he had heard Abal Nasr al-Mo’aththin say, “One day a great flood flowed in Sanabad where there is a valley higher than the Shrine.

The flood directed itself towards the Shrine and it was feared that it would reach the Shrine. Then by God’s permission, the threat was removed and (opposite to the laws of nature) the flood went into a waterway that was higher than the valley; and no damage was done to the Shrine.
