He said: Abul Hasan Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn al-Waleed reported to me from his father, from Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from al-Husayn ibn Saeed, from Muhammad ibn al-Fudhail, from Abu al-Sabah al-Kanani, that: Abu Abdillah Jaâfar ibn Muhammad (as): "Whoever says in the morning before the sun rises [and in the evening before the sun sets]: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger, and that the religion is as He has prescribed, and Islam is as He has described, and the statement is as He has conveyed, and the Book is as He has revealed, and that Allah is the manifest truth,' and mentions Muhammad and the family of Muhammad with good, and sends peace upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, Allah will open for him the eight gates of Paradise, and it will be said to him: Enter from whichever gate you wish, and his sins for that day will be erased."
