Al-Tawḥīd - Content

Chapter: The Mighty and High is Devoid of both Body and Image ه الله، قال: حدثنا أح٠د بن إدريس، قال: حدثنا ٠د بن عبد الجبار، عن صفوان بن يحيى، عن علي بن أبي ح٠زة، قال: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلاÙ: أن الله عز وجل جس٠ن خلقه فقال عليه السلا٠أحد كيف هو إلا هو، ليس ك٠يع البصير، لا يحد، ولا يحس، ولا يجس ولا ي٠س، ولا تدركه الحواس، لا يحيط به شئ، لا جس٠، ولا صورة، ولا تخطيط، ولا تحديد.

There is none like Him, and He is the AllHearing and the Al-Seeing. He cannot be confined, sensed, touched, or felt. The senses perceive Him not, and nothing can comprehend Him. He does not have a body or an image, nor lineation or delineation.
