Al-Tawḥīd - Content

Chapter: Predestination, Divine Decree, Trials, Means of Sustenance Rates, and Restricted Powers ه الله، قال: حدثنا ٠د بن الحسن الصفار، عن ٠د بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن ٠اعيل بن بزيع، عن ٠د بن عذافر، عن أبيه، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلا٠، قال: بينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسل٠في بعض أسفاره إذا لقيه ركب فقالوا: السلا٠عليك يا رسول الله، فالتفت إليهÙ.

قالوا: الرضا بقضاء الله والتسلي٠ر الله والتفويض إلى الله، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسل٠اء كادوا أن يكونوا ٠ة أنبياء، فإن كنت٠صادقين فلا تبنوا ٠ا لا تسكنون، ولا تج٠ا لا تأكلون، واتقوا الله الذي إليه ترجعون. 12.

Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid (RA) said: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan alSaffar said, on the authority of Muhamad ibn al-Husayn ibn Abu al-Khattab, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isma`il ibn Bazi`, on the authority of Muhamad ibn `Udhafir, on the authority of his father that Abu Ja`far al-Baqir (AS) said: While the Messenger of Allah (SA) was on one of his journeys, some riders met him, and said: “Peace be upon you, O messenger of Allah.” So, he turned to them and asked, ”Who are you?” They answered, “We are believers.” He (SA) asked, “What is the nature of your belief?” They replied, “Pleasure in the destiny of Allah, submission to the command of Allah, and relinquishment to Allah (of all affairs).” The Messenger of Allah (SA) responded, “You are learned and wise.

You are almost as wise as the prophets. If you are truthful, then do not build what you will not inhabit, do not collect what you will not eat, and fear Allah to whom you shall return.”
