My father (RA) said: Muhammad ibn Yahya al-`Attar said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn `Isa said, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abu `Umayr on the authority of Muhammad ibn Hukaym that I asked Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS): âWhat is the origin of recognition?â He (AS) answered, âIt is entirely from Allah, the Mighty and High. The servants do not have any part in it.â
