Ê¿AlÄ«, al-BarqÄ«, known by the kunya of AbÅ« JaÊ¿far. The Qummis spoke against him, but the defamation is not about him. The defamation was only with regards to whom he narrated from, for he was not mindful of whom he took from, upon the manner of the people of reports (ahl al-akhbÄr). Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsÄ banished him from Qum, but he brought him back later and apologized to him.
