He was very weak, corrupt in narration and religion. Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsÄ al-AshÊ¿arÄ« exiled him from Qum, declared barÄâa from him, and forbade the people from listening to him and narrating from him. He narrates mursal narrations and depends on unknown people.
