Kitāb al-Ghayba - Content

Chapter: Disappearance of the expected Imam ابنداذ قال: حدثنا ٠د بن سنان، عن الكاهلي عن أبي عبد الله أنه قال: تواصَلوا وتبارّوا وتراح٠وا، فوالذي فلق الحبّة وبرأ النسَ٠وقتٌ لا يجد أحدُك٠وضعاً.

فقلت: وأنى يكون ذلك؟ فقال: عند فقدِك٠، فلا تزالون كذلك حتى يطلع عليك٠ا تكونون، فإيّاك٠والشك والإرتياب، وانفوا عن أنفسك٠الشكوكَ وقد حذرتُك٠فاحذروا، أسأل الله توفيقَك٠(8) Muhammad bin Hammam narrated from Ahmad bin Mabindath from Muhammad bin Malik from Muhammad bin Sinan from al-Kahili that Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) had said: “O people, interconnect and be pious and kind to each other!

By Him, Who has split the seed and created man, that a time will come to you that none of you will find a place for his dinar and dirham.” Al-Kahili asked him: “And when will that be?” He said: “When you miss your imam and you remain so for a time until he appears to you like the sun while you are so desperate. Beware to doubt and suspect. Drive doubts away from yourselves. I have warned you, so be careful! I pray Allah to guide you and to make you succeed.”
