(21) Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Saâeed narrated from al-Qassim bin Muhammad from Obayss bin Hisham from Abdullah bin Jibilla from his father that Muhammad bin as-Samit had said: âI asked Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as): âWill there be certain signs before this matter (the appearance of al-Qaâim)?â He said: âYes, there will.â I asked: âWhat are they?â He said: âThe perishment of the Abbasids, the rising of al-Sufyani, killing the pure innocent man, the sinking of the desert and the call from the Heaven.â I said: âMay I die for you!
I am afraid that these things may take a long time!â He said: âNo. They will be like the beads of a rosary; one coming after the other.â
