Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of observing fast أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنْ عَلِیِ بْنِ النُّعْ٠َانِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَلْحَهَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الصَّائِ٠ُ فِی عِبَادَهِ اللَّهِ وَ إِنْ کَانَ نَائِ٠اً عَلَی فِرَاشِهِ ٠1.

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his predecessors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “A fasting person is considered to be in worship of Allah even though he may be asleep on his bed; but if he does not backbites a Muslim.”
