Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of a fast in the month of Shaban أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی یَعْقُوبُ بْنُ یَزِیدَ عَنِ الْحُصَیْنِ بْنِ یَزِیدَ الْ٠ُخَارِقِیِّ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی جُنَادَهَ السَّلُولِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی حَ٠َالِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: ٠َ شَعْبَانَ کَانَ لَهُ طَهُوراً ٠ِنْ کُلِّ زَلَّهٍ وَ وَصْ٠َهٍ وَ بَادِرَهٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو حَ٠ْزَهَ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع ٠َعْصِیَهِ وَ النَّذْرُ فِی الْ٠َعْصِیَهِ قُلْتُ فَ٠َا الْبَادِرَهُ قَالَ الْیَ٠ِینُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ وَ التَّوْبَهُ ٠ِنْهَا وَ النَّدَ٠1.

My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah who said it was narrated to me by Ya’qub b. Yazid from al-Huseen b. Yazid al-Makharaki al-Kufi from Abi Janadah al-Saluli from Abi Hamzah al-Thumali from Abi Ja’far (a.s.) who said: “I asked the Imam as to what he meant by that defect.” Imam (a.s.) replied, “It is the oath of Allah’s disobedience.” I asked, “What is the meaning of that anger?” He replied, “Taking an oath out of anger and then repenting it.”
