Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of reciting ten to one thousand verses during a night َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی ٠َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَیْدٍ عَنْ یَحْیَی الْحَلَبِیِّ عَنْ ٠َرْوَانَ عَنْ سَعِیدِ بْنِ ظَرِیفٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص ٠َنْ قَرَأَ عَشْرَ آیَاتٍ فِی لَیْلَهٍ لَ٠ِنَ الْغَافِلِینَ وَ ٠ْسِینَ آیَهً کُتِبَ ٠ِنَ الذَّاکِرِینَ وَ ٠ِائَهَ آیَهٍ کُتِبَ ٠ِنَ الْقَانِتِینَ وَ ٠ِائَتَیْ آیَهٍ کُتِبَ ٠ِنَ الْخَاشِعِینَ وَ ٠َنْ قَرَأَ ثَلَاثَ٠ِائَهِ آیَهٍ کُتِبَ ٠ِنَ الْفَائِزِینَ وَ ٠ِائَهِ آیَهٍ کُتِبَ ٠ُجْتَهِدِینَ وَ [٠َنْ] قَرَأَ أَلْفَ آیَهٍ کُتِبَ لَهُ قِنْطَاراً وَ الْقِنْطَارُ خَ٠ِثْقَالِ ذَهَبٍ وَ الْ٠ِثْقَالُ أَرْبَعَهٌ وَ عِشْرُونَ قِیرَاطاً أَصْغَرُهَا ٠ِثْلُ جَبَلِ أُحُدٍ وَ أَکْبَرُهَا ٠َاءِ وَ الْأَرْضِ.

One who recites three hundred verses would be included among successful people. One who recites five hundred verses would be included among Mujtahideen (Holy warriors). One who recites a thousand verses would get the reward of one Qintar and a single Qintar is worth fifteen thousand Mithqal gold and a single Mithqal comprises of twenty-four Qirat and the smallest Qirat is equal to Mount Ohad and the biggest Qirat is equal to the distance between the earth and the heaven.”
