Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of giving Sadaqah َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ٠َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ ٠َعْرُوفٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ طَلْحَهَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ الصَّادِقِ ع عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ: أَوَّلُ ٠َا یُبْدَأُ یَوْ٠َهِ صَدَقَهُ الْ٠2.

It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to us by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from al-Abbas b. Ma’ruf from Ibn Sinan from Talha b. Zayd from Ja’far b. Muhammad al-Sadiq (a.s.) from his father (a.s.) who said: “My father used to say that the first deed to be rewarded on the Day of Judgment is offering water as Sadaqah.”
