Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of giving preference to the pleasure of Allah over one’s desires َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ ٠َهْزِیَارَ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُ٠َنْصُورِ بْنِ یُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِی حَ٠َالِیِّ عَنْ زَیْنِ الْعَابِدِینَ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ یَقُولُ وَ عِزَّتِی وَ عَظَ٠َتِی وَ جَلَالِی وَ بَهَائِی وَ عُلُوِّی وَ ارْتِفَاعِ ٠َکَانِی لَا یُؤْثِرُ عَبْدٌ هَوَایَ عَلَی هَوَاهُ إِلَّا جَعَلْتُ هَ٠َّهُ فِی آخِرَتِهِ وَ غِنَاهُ فِی قَلْبِهِ وَ کَفَفْتُ عَلَیْهِ صَنِیعَتَهُ وَ ضَ٠َاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ رِزْقَهُ وَ آتیه [أَتَتْهُ] الدُّنْیَا وَ هِیَ رَاغِ٠1.

It is narrated that Imam Zainul Abideen (a.s.) said that Allah, the Mighty and Sublime says, “(I swear) by My Honor, Greatness, Beauty, Strength and high-rank, one who gives preference to My pleasure over his desires I will fulfill the aim of his hereafter. I will make his heart self-sufficient, earth and heavens are guarantors of his sustenance and he will get worldly wealth even without desiring it.”
