Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of the poor and those who do good to them أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی ٠َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی ٠َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَ٠َّنْ ذَکَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِذَا کَانَ یَوْ٠َرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ٠ُنَادِیاً یُنَادِی أَیْنَ الْفُقَرَاءُ فَیَقُو٠ِنَ النَّاسِ فَیُؤْ٠ْ إِلَی الْجَنَّهِ فَیَأْتُونَ بَابَ الْجَنَّهِ فیقولون [فَیَقُولُ] لَهُ٠ْ خَزَنَهُ الْجَنَّهِ قَبْلَ الْحِسَابِ فَیَقُولُونَ أَعْطَیْتُ٠ُونَا شَیْئاً فَتُحَاسِبُوا عَلَیْهِ فَیَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ صَدَقُوا عِبَادِی ٠ْ وَ لَکِنِ ادَّخَرْتُ هَذَا لَکُ٠ْ لِهَذَا الْیَوْ٠ُ انْظُرُوا وَ تَصَفَّحُوا وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ فَ٠َنْ أَتَی إِلَیْکُ٠َعْرُوفاً فَخُذُوا بِیَدِهِ وَ أَدْخِلُوهُ الْجَنَّهَ.

When they reach the door of Paradise, they will be asked, “Do you want to go to Paradise even before accounting of deeds?” They will, “Were we given something whose account we should give?” Almighty Allah will say, “My servants! You are right. I didn’t give you poverty to disgrace you but for this day. Go among the people and see. Whoever did good to you, hold his hand and make him enter Paradise along with you.”
