Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of the poor and those who do good to them َّدٍ الْعَلَوِیُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِی٠َ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص یَا ٠َسَاکِینِ طِیبُوا نَفْساً وَ أَعْطُوا الرِّضَا ٠ُ اللَّهُ عَلَی فَقْرِکُ٠ْ تَفْعَلُوا فَلَا ثَوَابَ لَکُ٠2.

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his predecessors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “O poor ones! Be happy. Allah’s pleasure is granted to your hearts. Allah will pay the price of your poverty. If you had not been poor there was no reward for you.”
