Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of slaughtering an animal and distributing its meat among the poor after having built a house أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِی٠َ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص ٠َسْکَناً فَذَبَحَ کَبْشاً سَ٠َّ قَالَ اللَّهُ٠َّ ادْحَرْ عَنِّی ٠َرَدَهَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ وَ الشَّیَاطِینِ وَ بَارِکْ لِی فِی بِنَائِی أُعْطِیَ ٠1.

My father (rh) narrated to me, he said: Ali bin Ibrahim, from his father, from an-Nawfali, from as-Sakuni, from Imam Ja’far bin Muhammad (a.s.), who narrates from his predecessors that the Messenger of Allah (sw) said: “Whoever builds a house, slaughters a fat ram, distributes its meat among the poor and recites the following supplication: Allaahummadhar 'anni maradatal jinni wal insi wash shayaateeni wa baarik lee fee binaa'ee (O Allah, repel from me the harm of jinn, humans, and devils, and bless me in my building) will get whatever he wishes.”
