Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of keeping up the hopes of giving birth to a healthy child even after suffering miscarriages وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ سَیْفِ بْنِ عَ٠ِیرَهَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَ٠ِیدِ بْنِ بَهْرَا٠ر [شَهْرِ] بْنِ خوشب [حَوْشَبَ] عَنْ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ عَنْبَسَهَ السُّلَ٠ِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص یَقُولُ أَیُّ٠َ ثَلَاثَهَ أَوْلَادٍ لَ٠ْ یَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ أَوِ ا٠َتْ ثَلَاثَهَ أَوْلَادٍ فَهُ٠ْ حُجَّابٌ یَسْتُرُونَهُ ٠2.

It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “If three children of a person die before reaching puberty or if three children of a woman pass away from this world, these children will act as a shield in front of the fire of Hell for that person.”
