Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Punishments Chapter: Punishment of Assuming the responsibility of the community in spite of the presence of learned scholars and jurists أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠َّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِیِّ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِی الْعَزْرَ٠ِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ رَفَعَ الْحَدِیثَ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ: ٠ِنْهُ وَ أَفْقَهُ لَ٠ْ إِلَی سقال [سَفَالٍ] إِلَی یَوْ٠1.

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who assumes the responsibility of the community in spite of the presence of learned scholars and jurists, shall be in the base level (of Hell).”
