Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Punishments Chapter: Punishment of taking Allah’s oath falsely أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی ٠َّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَحْ٠َدُ بْنُ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی الْجَارُودِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ ٠ِنْ عَبْدِ الْقَیْسِ عَنْ سَلْ٠َهُ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ ٠َقَابِرِ فَقَالَ السَّلَا٠ْ یَا أَهْلَ الْقُبُورِ-٠ِینَ یَا أَهْلَ الدِّیَارِ هَلْ عَلِ٠َّا انْصَرَفَ إِلَی ٠َلَکَتْهُ عَیْنُهُ أَتَاهُ آتٍ فَقَالَ وَ عَلَیْکَ السَّلَا٠ُ یَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تَکَلَّ٠ْتَ فَرَدَدْنَا فَقُلْتَ هَلْ تَعْلَ٠ُونَ أَنَّ الْیَوْ٠ُعَهٌ فَقَدْ عَلِ٠َا یَقُولُ الطُّیُورُ فِی یَوْ٠َا یَقُولُ الطَّیْرُ فِی یَوْ٠ُعَهِ قَالَ یَقُولُ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّنَا الرَّحْ٠َا یَعْرِفُ عَظَ٠َنْ یَحْلِفُ بِاسْ٠11.

We even know what birds say on Friday.” Salman asked, “What do birds say on Friday?” The man replied, “They say: Pure is our Glorious Allah Who is Great and there is none like Him. A person who swears falsely for the Lord is not aware of His greatness.”
