My father and âAli ibn Ḥusain both narrated to me from Saâd ibn âAbdillÄh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from Muḥammad ibn KhÄlid Al-Barqi, from âAbdil âAÄÄ«m ibn âAbdillÄh Al-Ḥasani, from Ḥasan ibn Ḥakam Al-Nakhaâi, from Kuthayr ibn ShihÄb Al-ḤÄrithi, who said: (One day) while we were sitting with the Commander of the Believers (a.s.) in Ruḥbah, Ḥusain (a.s.) entered.
(When the Commander of the Believers (a.s.) saw him), he smiled in a way that one could see his teeth. Then he (the Commander of the Believers (a.s.)) said: AllÄh has mentioned some people in the Qurâan by saying, âNeither did the heavens weep over them, nor the earth, nor were they granted respiteâ (44:29). I swear to He, who split the grain and created the living beings, that he (Ḥusain (a.s.)) will be killed and the heavens and the earth will weep over him.
