Kāmil al-Ziyārāt - Content

Chapter: The Reward for the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) Is Equal to the Reward for Performing a Hajj and an ‘Umrah 4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ سَأَلَ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً وَ عُ٠ْرَةً وَ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا ٠ِنَ الْخَيْرِ يَقُولُ بِجَ٠ِيعِ يَدَيْهِ هَكَذَا 4.

My father and ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain both narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali Al-Washā, from Aḥmad ibn ‘Ā`idh, from Abī Khadījah, who said: A man asked Abā Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) about going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) replied, “It is equal to one Hajj and one ‘Umrah and this much – he stretched open his arms – rewards.”
