Kāmil al-Ziyārāt - Content

Chapter: Going to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) Is Equal to Performing Hajj Several Times 1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رح٠ه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ ٠ُخْتَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّا٠ِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ زِيَارَةُ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) تَعْدِلُ عِشْرِينَ حِجَّةً وَ أَفْضَلُ ٠ِنْ عِشْرِينَ حِجَّةً وَ حَدَّثَنِي ٠َّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ ٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ ٠1.

My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Sinān, from Ḥusain ibn Mukhtār, from Zayd Al-Shaḥḥām, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: The Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing Hajj twenty times and it is (even) better than performing Hajj twenty times.

The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muḥammad ibn Ya’qūb (Al-Kulayni), from some of his companions, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from Muḥammad ibn Sinān, from Ḥusain ibn Mukhtār, from Zayd Al-Shaḥḥām, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
