Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn WalÄ«d narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-SaffÄr, from Ḥasan ibn âAli ibn âAbdillÄh ibn MughÄ«rah, from âAbbÄs ibn âÄmir, from AbÄn, from AbÄ« Ḥamzah (Al-ThumÄli), who said: AbÅ« âAbdillÄh (Imam SÄdiq (a.s.)) said: Verily AllÄh has dedicated four thousand angels to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) who are disheveled and covered with dust.
They cry over Ḥusain (a.s.) from dawn until midday, at which point they ascend to the heavens and they are replaced with another four thousand angels who cry over him until dawn. These angels will testify to the loyalty of those who go to the ZiyÄrah of Ḥusain (a.s.), will accompany them back to their families, visit them if they become ill, and establish prayers on them when they die.
