Chapter: The ZiyÄrah of Ĥusain ibn âAli (a.s.) and How It Should Be Performed 10. My father narrated to me from Saâd ibn âAbdillÄh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from âAbdil RaḥmÄn ibn AbÄ« NajrÄn, from Muḥammad ibn AbÄ« âUmayr, from âÄmir ibn JudhÄâah, who said: AbÅ« âAbdillÄh (Imam SÄdiq (a.s.)) said: Recite (the following) when you go to the ḤÄ`ir: Praise be to AllÄh and may AllÄhâs blessing be upon Muḥammad and his family.
SalÄm to him and to his family and (may) AllÄhâs Mercy and Blessings be upon them. SalÄm to you, O AbÄ âAbdillÄh. May AllÄhâs curse be upon those who killed you, those who participated in the spilling of your blood, and those who heard about your killing and were pleased with it. I seek nearness to AllÄh by dissociating myself from them.
