Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-SaffÄr, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn âIsÄ, from Ḥasan ibn âAli ibn FaÄÄÄl, from SafwÄn ibn YaḥyÄ, from Abil SabbÄḥ â or from Abil SabbÄḥ from AbÄ« BasÄ«r, who said: I asked AbÄ âAbdillÄh (Imam SÄdiq (a.s.)), âHow should I say SalÄm to Ḥusain ibn âAli (a.s.)?â Imam (a.s.) replied, recite (the following): SalÄm to you, O AbÄ âAbdillÄh.
SalÄm to you, O son of the Messenger of AllÄh. May AllÄhâs curse be upon those who killed you. May AllÄhâs curse be upon those who helped (your enemies) against you and upon those who heard about your killing and were pleased with it. I seek nearness to AllÄh by dissociating myself from them.
