They have presented several proofs (1-9), \u00a0the write-up from Ismaili author is attached at the end of the reply. \n The First point [1] uploaded at \u2018www.thebohras.com\/imam\u2019 is the \u2018Nuss\u2019. \n Proof # 1: \n Basically in proof # 1, it is alleged: \n \n The twelve Imams (Commanders) are not mentioned in Shia Ahadith; \n The Nuss of the 7 th Imam -asws was not established in earlier Shia Ahadith compilations.
\n \n The author of the chapter 4 has conveniently neglected so many Shia Ahaidth which clearly state that there will be 12 Imams (Commanders) after Rasool Allah -saww , the author has tried unsuccessfully to create doubts that Ismail the eldest son of Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq -asws did not die but Imam -asws (nouzobillah) faked his son (Ismail\u2019s) funeral \u2013 this is beyond the dignity of a Divine Imam -asws to fake death of his successor, as Allah -azwj has Promised to Protect His Hujja even if unbelievers would not like it (61:8) [1] .
\u00a0There is also no plausible reason stated or can be imagined at all for faking Ismail\u2019s funeral \u2013 to achieve what? \n Then all presented Ahadith and historical accounts confirm that the eldest son of Imam Jafar Sadiq -asws had passed away during the life time of the Imam -asws and the 6 th Imam -asws continued with his Divine responsibilities as an Imam for several years and finally leaving behind his legatee Musa Ibn Jafar -asws , as a 7 th Imam.
\n There is a lengthy discussion on Zurarah (narrator of many Ahadith) who sends his son to enquire the successor to the 6 th Imam -asws , eventually his son (Ubayd) brings back the news that the 6 th Imam nominated Musa -asws Ibn Jafar -asws as his legatee.\u00a0 Why Zurarah had to do this?
