[32] Description of Tayammum for Wazu (with dust in lieu of...

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, and Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl, altogether from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Zurara who said, ‘I asked Abu Ja’far -asws about the Tayammum , so he -asws struck the ground with his -asws hand, then raised it and shook it (the dust). Then he -asws wiped his -asws forehead with it, and (the back of his) wrist, once’.

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from one of our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah -asws having been asked about the Tayammum , so he -asws recited this Verse [5:38] And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands , and Said [5:6] wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows . He ‑asws said: ‘Therefore wipe upon (the back of your) wrists from where is the place of the cut.

So, he -asws struck with his -asws hand upon the rug, and he -asws wiped his -asws face with it. Then he -asws wiped his wrists, one of them upon the back of the other’.
