Some Ahadith are compiled from Al-Kafi related to dog touching cloths, body and abhorrence of keeping dogs in houses. الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتاً فِيهِ صُورَةُ إِنْسَانٍ وَ لَا بَيْتاً يُبَالُ فِيهِ وَ لَا بَيْتاً فِيهِ كَلْبٌ .
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Washa, from Aban, from Amro Bin Khalid, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far -asws having said: ‘Jibraeel -as said: ‘O Rasool-Allah -saww ! We (Angels) do not enter a house wherein is a picture of a human being, nor a house (room) wherein it is urinated in, nor a house wherein is a dog ’. [1] عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْكَلْبِ نُمْسِكُهُ فِي الدَّارِ قَالَ لَا .
From him, from Usman, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked about the dog, ‘Can we keep it in the house?’ He -asws said: ‘No’. [2] مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( صلوات الله عليه ) لَا خَيْرَ فِي الْكِلَابِ إِلَّا كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ أَوْ كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ .
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yusuf Bin Aqeel, from Muhammad Bin Qays, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far -asws having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen -asws said: ‘There is no goodness in the dogs except for the hunting dog, or a walking dog’.
