A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan Bin Shamoun, from Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman, from Misma’a, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah -asws having said: ‘Rasool-Allah -saww said: ‘The dogs are from the weak ones of the Jinn. So when one of you is eating the meal, and there is something from it in front of him, so let him feed it or let him repel it, for it has an evil self for it’.
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Hashim, from Salim Bin Abu Salma, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah -asws , said, ‘He -asws was asked about the dogs, so he -asws said: ‘Every entirely black one, and every entirely red one, and every entirely white one, so that is a creature from the dogs from the Jinn, and whatever was speckled, so it is one morphed from the Jinn and the humans’.
[20] عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) رَخَّصَ لِأَهْلِ الْقَاصِيَةِ فِي كَلْبٍ يَتَّخِذُونَهُ . Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah -asws that Rasool-Allah -saww allowed for the people of the countryside to take dogs’.
[21] عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْكَلْبِ السَّلُوقِيِّ قَالَ إِذَا مَسِسْتَهُ فَاغْسِلْ يَدَكَ . From him, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah -asws about the greyhound dog.
