Then he -asws said...

Then he -asws said: ‘Did you recite the Book of Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic [65:3] and whoever relies upon Allah, He is sufficient for him ?’ And he -asws said: ‘ [14:7] If you are grateful, I would Increase it more for you . And He -azwj Said [40:60] And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will Answer you ’.

[12] عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ: أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بِنِعْمَةٍ فَعَرَفَهَا بِقَلْبِهِ وَ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا بِلِسَانِهِ لَمْ ينفذ [يَنْفَدْ] كَلَامُهُ حَتَّى يَأْمُرَ اللَّهُ بِالزِّيَادَةِ وَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عِزَّ- لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ‏.

Imam Sadiq -asws said: “Whenever Allah -azwj Grants someone some blessings and he acknowledges that with his heart and expresses his gratitude, Allah -azwj will Order an increase in his blessings before he finishes his words. Allah -azwj the Almighty has Said: “ If you are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you .” [The Holy Quran: 14:7].

[13] عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ مَنْ أُعْطِيَ الشُّكْرَ أُعْطِيَ الزِّيَادَةَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ .

A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Yahya Bin Al Mubarak, from Abdullah Bin Jabala, from Muawiya Bin Wahab, from: Abu Abdullah -asws said: ‘The one who gives the thanks is Given the increase. Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic is Saying [14:7] And when your Lord Proclaimed: If you are grateful, I would Increase it more for you ’. [14] عن أبي عبد الله عن آبائه: قال: قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه و اله و سلم: ما فتح الله لعبدٍ باب شكرٍ فخزن عنه باب الزيادة.
